Dodgy Wide Angle Lens Mount

So here's my dodgy wide angle lens mount.
The only problem I can see after a quick test is that with all the new weight, the clamp can't hold it anymore so I'll have to mount it some other way. I can feel something involving duct tape coming on ...
Fun project anyhoo, inspired in part by a japanese guy I found on the net that did the same with his Xacti.

Canon G9 Wide Angle & Telephoto Lens Problem

Please watch the video and tell me if I'm doing something wrong. Canon g9 works fine. When I install a Fotodiox wide Angle Lens, a black circle appears. Same with the Telephoto lens, but worse. The tube convertor is compatible with Canon G9. I select wide and telephoto from the menu, but nothing changes.
