this is one of the most basic but most important things to know in order to figure out songs a lot quicker - when you train your ear you eliminate a lot of the hunting and pecking method!

Here's a little "lesson" on how to combine harmony and melody into a self-contained solo piece. Sorry, I messed up and played the first line of Hawaii Aloha instead of Aloha Oe but they're the same chords so if you know the melody it'd be easy to play the correct part. Playing a tenor Lanikai with Aquila strings with a low G that came in the pack. Great instrument, had it refretted for better playability but in general it's a good instrument right off the shelf. Tip: when you play the Bb make sure you keep your thumb in the middle of the back of the neck behind your middle finger
